Now
I guess that the newsmen are eyeless in Gaza
Where Israeli troops kill young kids every day;
Like that poor kid Khaled who was shot down in Nablus-
But still the world's newsmen have nothing to say.
Now when we awake and some journalist's murdered,
It's often I've wondered why the world's so unfair;
Those troops kill a kid and pretend it doesn't matter,
But a newsman's death is cause for tearing our hair?
Some buses last week were blown up in Beersheba,
And all day the newsmen wailed and whined
But Khaled is dead. Who defends little children
Against Ariel Sharon and his kill-crazy kind?
