Community Audit and report conducted and produced
by Extern's Need To Know Project (N2K) cites parking,
litter and the Marching Season as main concerns for
members of the Holyland Community.
N2k Project which consulted 1347 houses in the Holylands
area has recorded 624 responses from households categorised
as 77% in the private rental sector, 15% owner occupied,
2% Housing Association and 6% no comment.
major issue for 61% of the residents in the area was
bin collection and litter. A further 49% of residents
cited noise and 34% crime.
of the Holylands respondents has cited anti social
behaviour as a concern.
N2K consultation covering 33 local businesses in the
area highlights issues causing the business community
"most concern" or "had a hugely detrimental
effect on their business" was Parking 73%, The
Marching Season 61%, Vandalism 55%, Burglary and Theft
