The Blanket

In Solidarity
Free the Political prisoners, solidarity to their struggle.
Davy Carlin, Belfast SWP • 19 October 2003

I would like to send solidarity to my comrade Brid Smith and to the other political prisoners still held, for their firm stand against an unjust tax driven forward by an unjust system. Brid's solid belief both in her words and actions in solidarity with working class persons and communities is and will continue to be an inspiration to many. Brid, a political prisoner, her crime, to hold an understanding for a better society and to then actively seek to put that understanding into practice. It has and is a case of working class communities against a political agenda, driven from above by an unjust government in tandem with the brutal political and economic agendas of the international ruling classes.
