'Left'
Convention in Derry - Going Nowhere!

I
wish Eamonn McCann well in the forthcoming EU elections
(if he stands) - I really do. However, I was extremely
disappointed at how IRSP members who attended last
Saturday's Convention were treated by some of Eamonn's
comrades and other 'socialists'. I am neither a member
of the SEA or the IRSP but believe that both organisations
are made up of decent and principled individuals;
Therefore, I thought it was appalling that a Convention,
the purpose of which was to build some kind of coalition,
should at its first ever meeting start excluding others.
This dosen't bode well for the future or for the building
of an alternative to the two sectarian power blocs.
