Must Indeed Decommission

Nicholas
Whyte has been living in Belgium too long and the
strong beer they brew there must have addled his brain.
Either that or his membership of the Alliance party
has robbed him of intellectual judgement. There is
only one interpretation of the conclusion of my article
of Adams' dilemma and it was so clear I didn't feel
the need to spell it out. To avoid the destruction
of his strategy, Adams must indeed decommission transparently
and then wind down what remains of the IRA. Nicholas
thought that perhaps I meant a "return to the
policies of 1981". What on earth does that mean?
Adams going on hunger strike? I don't think so! That
was something only other people did.
