If
Mr Mitchell had bothered to do more than a cursory
read of my letter, he would have noted that it was
not I who was making the "three-fifths"
appelation in regards to victims of one incident versus
another. I presented the consideration of American
slaves as "three-fifths of a person" as
analogous to the consideration of the Brits for other
peoples. It is not racist for me to compare "Irish
victims" to "British victims" as this
is again my characterization of the mindset of the
Brits, as from my experiences. At no time did I express
that that any ethnic group is more or less than another.
If you had read completely you would have realized
that. It is the Brits who insist, whether in word
or in deed, that there are the Brits, up here, and
the rest of the world, down there. Be careful, Mr
Mitchell, your ignorance is showing.
