Building Unity

Win O'Toole • 29 May 2004

I appreciate Mr Martin's response (19 May) in reference to Mr Harkin's speech.

One question, can you build unity without seeing it first?

To unite and energize people, the focus might be as much if not more on people's desires as needs, in terms of freedom to express, to meet, to learn, to be well, etc

on the party's wholeness; yet, incompleteness (not as the only 10% or so with the truth);

on its commitment to building not for particular people or groups, but for a way of life.

Any person or party who sees unity in Ireland could make this speech.
